Nurses with graduate degrees who want to enhance their knowledge or take their career in a new direction may choose from several nondegree post-graduate options at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston.
In addition to the Nursing Education and Emergency/Trauma Care tracks, which are offered on a post-graduate basis only, students with graduate degrees in nursing may complete master’s-level Nursing Leadership coursework. Nurses with graduate degrees may also complete coursework in our nurse practitioner tracks that will prepare them to take a certification exam for that practice specialization.
An academic advisor will work with you to create a customized course plan based on your interests and previously completed graduate coursework. Upon completion, students will receive a recognition of achievement issued by Cizik School of Nursing. A transcript noting the courses taken will also be available.
